As a pretty committed user of Samsung’s range of devices, I would quite like to see a dongle for the MagEZ Slider that supports the Galaxy Watch 4 models.
I just got my MagEZ Case 2 for S22 Ultra but, as indicated on the Pitaka website, it doesn’t work with my current desktop charger - a Samsung Wireless Charger Duo. As I understand it, it’s the MagSafe array that is interfering.
So I’m going to get the Slider soon as my new desktop charger. It looks really cool and the wireless battery pack seems useful. I actually already have a little magnetic wireless battery pack, made by Mophie. It came with a magnetic case I got years and years ago when I had a Note 8. The magnetic feature wasn’t for car mounting but purely so you could attach these wireless battery packs. I sold the case along with the phone when I next upgraded but I kept the little battery pack in case it would work with any of my future cases. And surprsingly, it actually works with the MagEZ Case for S21 Ultra! However it doesn’t seem to stay attached in the right position on the MagEZ Case 2 for S22 Ultra; it does stay on with the magnetic attraction but too far down the case to be in the right position for the wireless charging coils to align. Most likely because the MagEZ Case 2 is using its MagSafe array to align accessories specifically designed for it. So I would definitely get a benefit from the wireless battery pack that comes with the Slider as that will work perfectly with my S22 Ultra, and I really like the way it sits in the Slider being kept fully charged and the phone can be easily detached from the Slider with or without the battery pack attached. A fantastic design.
As a user of Galaxy Buds Pro I appreciate that these are supported by the Slider also. Pitaka does seem to prioritise Apple products first - there are so many more case options for iPhones including lots of colours, and iPad is the only tablet Pitaka makes products for - but it’s good to see that Samsung products do seem to be getting more love.
Although it would be good if that is continued and the Slider eventually supports the Galaxy Watch as the Slider is quite a premium priced product so it would be better value if it supported all my Samsung devices. From the way it has been designed, it seems quite modular so various different dongles could be possible.
