Hi,
I’m Lucky, the Product Manager for MagEZ Case for iPad Pro. I’m really pleased to have this opportunity to share with you the story behind this case and how different it is from other iPad cases on the market.
Materials
After Apple launched the iPad Pro in March 2020, many of our customers mentioned how much they would like to see an aramid fiber case for the iPad range. Aramid fiber has been our signature material for many years, but previously we’d only really made cases for mobile phones. We knew making a case with a larger surface area would be tricky, but our fans tempted and inspired us to take up the challenge. In the end, we had to use plastic for the inner material, with a layer of aramid fiber on the outside.
Design
Before starting the design process, we considered all the details we knew were necessary for our customers and functionality. The MagEZ Case for iPad Pro had to be ultra-thin to work seamlessly with the Magic Keyboard. We introduced a new injection molding technology using extremely high temperatures that we developed just for this project.
Not only the MagEZ Case for iPad Pro works with Apple’s ecosystem, but it’s also a key component of PITAKA’s iPad range, the Pita!Flow for Tablets, an ecosystem of magnetic accessories, including iPad stand and folio, that fully integrates with your iPad. The system provides streamlined solutions to tablet use from solid workplace to on-the-go scenarios.
With the MagEZ Case 2, you can effortlessly switch between the MagEZ Stand, MagEZ Folio, and Magic Keyboard without affecting your productivity or the tablet’s functionality.
Since the case is super-slim, take care when you install or remove the case. You can check out our video below for tips!
I’m incredibly grateful for my team, who persevered to overcome many hurdles during this project. I’m also thankful to all of you for supporting PITAKA. Your feedback helps us to continuously improve our products and offer you an excellent user experience!
Thank again!
