I don’t know why they are talking about a new case for iPad :(
iPad Pro 11″ M1(2021) has the same body size as its predecessor iPad Pro 11″ (2020)
In my opinion, it is only necessary to make a new case for the 12.9 "version of the iPad Pro 2021 which changed the body thickness.

PITAKA Honestly I have used cover buddy for the last few generations of iPad Pro, not because it’s a good product but because it has a cutout to hold the Apple Pencil. It looks like your MagEz case is a much better quality product but until it has a real solution for the pen it would not be a case I could even consider to use with my iPad Pro. The card clip is not a good solution at all for this. It puts extra wear on a $350 keyboard every time you slide it on, makes the whole package bulkier, and makes it harder to slide the iPad into a bag. It might be useful to people that always carry the iPad by itself but that’s about where it’s usefulness stops.

ich bin begeistert von pikste, fürs iPhone 11 Pro mit dem magez pro, der autohalterung und Ladung kabelloses.

das gleiche stelle ich mir für ein neues Apple iPad Pro 11 Zoll 2021.

was mir fehlt, ein Front Bildschirm Schutz.

bei anderen Hüllen, kann man den Schutz von vorne nach hinten weg klappen kann um die Hülle aufzustellen. Dieses vermisse ich bei dieser Hülle.

vielleicht kann man ein rund um Schutz Hülle vereinen mit Ständer und der Möglichkeit es an der magic Keyboard anzuheften?

Our new case for iPad Pro 2021 will still feature thinness and lightness, compatible with the Apple Magic Keyboard. Regarding your suggestions on front screen protection, we are glad to tell you that we will have PITAKA folio soon, too.

With the folio, the front and back of your device will be well protected, and you can use it as a stand in various situations.

What do you think of the combination, a MagEZ case with a folio? Isn’t it great?

eine Klebe Schutzfolie für vorder und Rückseite?

Wird der Bildschirmschutz wie Papier sein wenn man mit dem pencil darauf schreibt?

was ist mit der seitenkante die nicht geschützt ist? Die innen beim magic Keyboard liegt. Wird die geschützt?

einen Aussteller das man das iPad mit dem MagEZ auf dem Tisch hinstellen kann um damit zum Beispiel Filme zu schauen oder flach gekippt um darauf zu arbeiten? Wie dies von Original apple Zubehör möglich ist.

Just joined and wanted to say that I currently use your MagEZ case for my 2020 iPad Pro 11” and I love it.

I am looking to upgrade to a 2021 iPad Pro and would love to have another Pitaka MagEZ case for either the 11” or (slightly thicker) 12.9” iPad Pro when I purchase one. Will you be making allowances for the slightly thicker 12.9” 2021 version?

I use my iPad Pro (with attached MagEZ case) 99% of the time attached to my Magic Keyboard, so this is my main use case scenario and want to ensure that your 2021 case is still fully compatible with the Magic Keyboard?

I have these suggestions for the new case also:

The compatibility with the Magic Keyboard case
The USB-C (now Thunderbolt) port cut out as open and accessible as it currently is to allow for accessories and hubs to be attached

Please Add (if possible) -

A protected space, lip or clip where the Apple Pencil docks and charges to avoid the Apple Pencil falling off. I am aware that your competitor (SwitchCase CoverBuddy) has a feature such as this and although I prefer your case, I would like to protect my Apple Pencil from falling off in my bag when in transit?
A way on the case to make opening the Magic Keyboard easier to open when the MagEZ case (and iPad Pro) is attached to it. Again, the Apple Pencil protector listed above could function as a way to do this but it would be a really handy feature to have

Nice to have (but probably wouldn’t work with the Magic Keyboard) -

A way to prop or raise the iPad Pro up for drawing or typing when not in the Magic Keyboard case. I’m not sure this would be possible due to the way the MagEZ attaches to the Magic Keyboard but it would be great it was workable or detachable.
A cover or clip on portion that would protect the camera “bump” on the back of the MagEZ case and iPad Pro. I don’t use the camera much on the iPad Pro but I find that it is the only part that is left uncovered and unprotected by both the Magic Keyboard and the MagEZ case when travelling with it in a bag. It is also prone to attracting dirt and dust as it is a cut out. Again, this is probably not possible due to the design but it would be nice to have for protection.

Hi,

I would really like to have the case as thin and sturdy as possible but also new accessories like a magnetically attachable backplate with kickstand that you can use as additional protection when laying it on a table or to support it while watching movies without needing the magic keyboard.
I would rather not have an additional part protrude the case to store the Pencil but a separate case to store the charger, cable and pencil when traveling.
Also please a white case option to match the new white magic keyboard

Thanks for your suggestions. We are glad to hear your expectations on our case for iPad Pro 2021.

Based on your expectations, we are also glad to tell you that we will launch a folio in June along with the case. Our folio is similar to Apple’s Smart Folio. It can protect the front and back of your device, and you can fold it as a stand when watching movies. With the folio, you can enjoy the PITAKA magnetic ecosystem more perfectly.

As for your suggestions for an extra case to collect accessories and the pencil, we will forward it to our product team and hope they will consider designing one in the future.

However, sorry that we can’t make a white case in the near future as we can’t find suitable material in white to make it yet. But we will have Black/Blue cases for iPad Pro 2021. Welcome to try this new color when it comes out :)

Could you please maybe outline or explain what type of changes or additions you ARE making to the 2021 model? It doesn’t seem like anything is being added or changed but you are still asking for suggestions, so I am confused…

Hi,

For me it is important that the case is compatible with other magnetic cases. The reason therefore is that a case like the Magic Keyboard doesn’t provide enough protection around the edges of the iPad. Other cases that I have found that don’t weigh to much also don’t provide the protection I would like.
Therefor using these kind of cases together with the MagEZ case would be in my opinion the best. For this to happen I think it is important that the case doesn’t have any additional features but serves as an in between. Things as such a stand on the back or a place to secure the apple pencil just limits the user with his choice of covers/sleeves for the iPad. I would like to see that the new case is just as slim in design as the old one. The most important thing here is that the buttons (volume and off button) feel nice and sturdy, if they are encased.

The only thing i didn’t like about the old case is how the iPad at the bottom is exposed. I understand the need for that so it is compatible with the magic keyboard but I would like to see if it is possible to encase this as well.

SMS-31 Dear friend, so sorry things make you confused.We fully understand your needs and lovely suggestions, but combined with the actual design situation, the current type C charging port with a fully open port will be implemented on the 2021 version of MagEZCase; adding a pen slot will add extra thickness and volume, so our product, For the time being, the team’s concerns are still using the card clip solution; regarding the camera protection ring, we will include it in the subsequent product developing process, but this is still more feasible as an accessory; the following is the MagEZCase 2021 I can share with you. I’ve been using the 12.9 inch for months and I love it!

if I had some requests they would be:

-open port (been having some issues with some cables and docks

easier to remove, I feel like the corners will break everytime I take the case out, and already had a case replaced because the bottom attachements broke (but I don’t know how exactly as back then I didn’t take it off as ofen) lately I have to take mine off more often to use it with my sketchboard pro.

accessories ideas

make the magnetic stand portable and foldable to be able to fold it and put it in a bag when commuting

maybe a sleeve with an integrated stand like the moft Z, or the okami ipad stand case, where you could have the ipad inside take it out unfold the stand and magnetically attach it to the sleeve/stand with drawing angle and a high viewing angle like the stand mentioned before, and if possible make it havw 2 pockets one for the ipad one for the keyboard. Might not be common but I often keep my keyboard closed and away from the ipad in my bag unless I’m using it, for quick access to the ipad for drawing as the case can’t be folded back

Sorry that I didn’t make myself clear. I mean, you can consider using our magnetic card clip with our case for iPad 2018&2020&2021 to carry your pencil conveniently. The card clip is compatible with our upcoming PITAKA Folio as well, just as shown in the pictures of my previous reply. You can use all these accessories together.
